Boku Kawauso[1] (literally and roughly/masculine style for "I'm an otter") is an original character introduced in 2019 and posted by the Kantai Collection Twitter account (possibly linked here). They were created by Hide Uchida, Yume Tanibe and an unknown third author just before JAEPO 2019 (a Japanese arcade expo/event).
Rights to Boku Kawauso were acquired by Sanrio, who has since appeared in Sanrio Puroland.[2] Other rights are reserved by C2 Organisation (C2機関).
Profile
He is quirky and is friends with a robotic giraffe named Kirin. He likes to ride in a car with him; and this artwork is associated with a slogan called "Admiral In Car!".
Promotions
For Sanrio Puroland x C2 Organisation, and Sanrio Puroland's Kirin Boku Kawaland, Sanrio designed more baby-like versions of both Boku Kawauso and Kirin Kai-II.
