Hoppe-chan are kawaii multicoloured blob/slime like creatures creatures from the Hoppe-chan franchise by SUNHOSEKI. The Hoppe-chan were created in 2010[1], and they have featured in a variety of merchandise such as toys, video games and books, to name a few of these.

There have also been multiple Hoppe-chan x Sanrio products, such as the 2019 Nintendo Switch video game Puru-Chara Friends: Hoppe-chan to Sanrio Characters (though Hoppe-chan video games without the Sanrio connection exist).

In Puru-Chara Friends: Hoppe-chan to Sanrio Characters

In this game, Sanrio characters Hello Kitty, My Melody, Pompompurin, Cinnamoroll and Keroppi take the form of Hoppe-chan but most Hoppe-chan are created by the player in a form they desire.

The Hoppe-chan come in various patterns, with more unlockable patterns later in game. The player can customise its height (by squeezing it out of a tool), its stance, and the length/style of its point, and colour it with one of 30 colours (some must be unlocked later). The Hoppe-chan can be given accessories, such as eyes and a red ribbon, and given a name.

Each created Hoppe-chan can be given one of five personalities; carefree, sparkly, energetic, pretty, or stylish/cool.
