Bokukawauso (literally and roughly/masculine style for "I'm an otter") is an original character introduced in 2019 and posted by the Kantai Collection Twitter account (possibly linked here). They were created by Hide Uchida, Yume Tanibe and an unknown third author just before JAEPO 2019 (a Japanese arcade expo/event).
The character is also accompanied with a a giraffe.
Rights to Bokukawauso were acquired by Sanrio, who has since appeared in Sanrio Puroland.[1]
