Flint the Time Detective (Japanese: 時空探偵ゲンシクン, Jikuu Tantei Genshi-kun), meaning Space-Time Detective Genshi-kun, is a 1998-1999 Japanese animation series, featuring a prehistoric boy named Flint Hammerhead.[1]

In Japan, Sanrio have owned rights to the franchise, making it another 1990s character universe.

In the United States, this series aired on the Fox Family Channel for their "Made in Japan Sundays" block, and in the Phillipines via GMA 7.[2][3]

Plot

Flint was revived by the Time Police Detectives and later discovered by Dr. Bernard Goodman and his niece, nephew during an archaeological dig at school. Flint's father Rocky Hammerhead was also going to be transformed, but the transformation was not complete and he turned into a powerful granite axe.

During the 25th Century, Flint and Rocky Hammerhead confront Petra Fina; who is responsible for their fossilisation, and attempting to destroy the Land of Time.
