Jewelpet (franchise)
Jewelpet is a franchise jointly owned by Sanrio and Sega Sammy Holdings, which was launched on January 15th 2008.[1]. The franchise features animals known as Jewelpets; who are named after jewels, birthstones and minerals.
In animation
The Jewelpet franchise has received three series of anime, known as Jewelpet (which started in April 2009), Lady Jewelpet and Jewelpet: Magical Change (which both started in April 2014).
The franchise has received a movie known as Jewelpet the Movie: Sweets Dance Princess on August 11 2012, which was released alongside a short film called Onegai My Melody: Yū & Ai.
