Schmid is a branding of characters by Marty Links; a cartoonist best known for the Emmy Lou comic strips.
The characters are themed on toddlers and young children, including a baby with a large head, sometimes seen with a rabbit. Young children also appeared in other works by Marty Links such as Candy Canes: A Holiday Treat.
A baby designed by Marty Links and possibly from Schmid appeared on the fifth issue of The Strawberry News (June 15, 1975). However, due to poor documentation that is still restricted to books and may not be on the internet, more information is needed.
