Wish me mell is a Sanrio character introduced in 2010 based on a white rabbit girl. She was designed with 15-20 year old women in mind, according to press release from the Official Japanese Sanrio website. [1]
She was created by Mikyuki Okumura[2] and is the main heroine in the series.
Story
Mell lives in the magical world of Merci Hills, located beyond the rainbow where everyone is happily living while their feelings are connected to each other. Words like "Thank You" can bring warmth to everyone's hearts.

Reception
Wish me Mell was voted the 17th winning Sanrio character in the 26th Sanrio Character Ranking in 2011. In 2012, After MaiMai, Mell became the 12th winning character while MaiMai became the 14th in the 27th Sanrio Character Rainking in 2012.
Live Appearances
Mell appeared in Sanrio Puroland live shows, featuring different characters. For example, the "Mell no Yume ni Mukatte Ganbaru Nikki" performance.
She has her own "Mell channel" on the Sanrio Puroland website, and a special Sanrio Puroland limited edition "Mell Mell Doll" was released.[5][6]
