Sanrio Wiki has moved from ShoutWiki. Account creation is closed to prevent spam on a company typically seen in the West for its children's media. If you want an account here (or to activate your old ShoutWiki account here) it is suggested (though you have free will) get your parent/guardian's permission to use the Internet, and contact EvieMelody (X, formally Twitter) re: account creation or article requests.

Note: Sanrio Wiki is not official and is not run by Sanrio Co., Ltd. or related parties. This wiki uses some low resolution content (images, short sound clips) to describe articles, under fair use (for the purpose of illustrating and describing an article only). Sometimes this wiki may be a little slow, other times it is faster. This is likely server related. On such days, you may want to stockpile edits offline for later.

The Nintendo GameCube (Japanese: ゲームキューブ) abbreviated to NGC in Japan and GCN in North America and Europe is a home video game console by Nintendo that is part of the sixth-generation of video game consoles. It was succeeded by the Wii.

It was released on September 14, 2001 in Japan, November 18, 2001 in North America, May 3, 2002 in Europe and May 17, 2002 in Australia.

It was the successor to the Nintendo 64 and was notable for being the first Nintendo console to use optical discs. The optical discs are also relatively small compared to other discs, such as a typical compact disc or DVD. It is not backwards compatible with the Nintendo 64.

Some GameCube games could also interact with a Game Boy Advance as a controller or for transmitting and/or receiving data. Additionally, Game Boy, Game Boy Color and Game Boy Advance games can be played on a GameCube peripheral known as the Game Boy Player.
