KABURINBOCLUB is a Sanrio universe, introduced in 2022. Their official release year according to the Sanrio Japan character directory is 2023. They were runner-up characters for Next Kawaii Project, coming in seventh place (part of the final step) with 278,361 points.
Profile
The KABURINBOCLUB are a group of really shy friends, who are afraid to show their true self to others and would rather stick to an idealised version of themselves, in which they are seen wearing a hat and dressing up. Together they are known as the Kaburinbo Club (kaburinbo is used as a metaphor for "wearing a hat" (or headgear), or sticking to one's ideal roles or self). Although shy, they are close-knit and are never seen apart. They invite other people like them to join their club.
