Pero wa Tomodachi is a Sanrio universe, introduced in 1992. However, it appears to be a rebranding of Peek・a・Boo's dog Pero from 1977.
Profile
Born in the outskirts of Paris, Pero is a mischevious and a tad disorganised dog. He likes his dog's owner's girl (Peek・a・Boo) and has always been with her. He loves corn soup and cheese. He can be seen with accessories and a pink hat larger than him.[1]
