Mahou Shoujo Rion-chan, also known as Magical Rion-chan is a 2000s universe from Sanrio's Hong Kong subsidiary Sanrio Wave; themed around three magical girls empowered by a Hello Kitty plush, with the girls being themed around Hello Kitty, Badtz-Maru and Cinnamoroll.
The girls can play the keytar, drums, and bass.
In 2009, the franchise won the "Golden Dragon Award Original Animation & Comic Competition"
In 2010, the franchise appeared at a Chinese monthly comic called "Comic BAR!" First appeared at May 2010 issues as promotional only, the franchise on Comic BAR! marks latest appearance on December 2010 issue. The Manga has about 12 chapters each Comic BAR! Issues from June to November. Not only Comic BAR! was only Rion-chan appearance in China but Rion-chan also appeared at ICIF 2010.
In 2020s in Lost Media wiki forums believed this franchise is a lost media, resulting multiple people do search for it. As of now it is Partially Lost with recent find of Comic BAR! books owned by Crystal Dark Pinkie.
