Ikura (literally "salmon roe") is an alternative form of Gudetama as salmon roe, who like to ask the question "What is individuality?" (Japanese: 個性ってなに？). Their name may also be a pun on "how many?" (Japanese: 幾らですか？, Ikura desu ka?).
This character currently does not appear on the official Japanese Sanrio character directory.
