MGM Television (abbreviated from Metro Goldwyn Mayer Television), founded in 1956 is a film, animation production or distribution studio based in Beverly Hills, California, United States. It is known for its iconic logo of a realistic roaring lion, which it uses as a metonym. It is a division of Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer which was a merger of Metro Pictures, Goldwyn Pictures, and Louis B. Mayer Pictures.
