Madonra-chan is a character from the Donragon franchise, copyrighted to Sanrio in 1993.
Biography
Madonra-chan stars as Donragon's girlfriend in the Japanese animation series Donragon; a segment of the TV Tokyo children's television series Daisuki! Hello Kitty.
She resembles a pink dragon-like character who wears a red hat, purple/magenta shirt with a white "M" on it, and skirt as well as red shoes. She also has pink hair from the back of her head.
When she kisses Donragon, it has the ability to power him up.
Trivia
- Her name might be a pun on the famous American singer/songwriter/actress "Madonna" (マドンナ) (nicknamed the "Queen of Pop"), the "ra" in "dragon" (ドラゴン), and using the Japanese honorific commonly used for girls, small children, close friends, or lovers -chan.
- The dramatic power-up trope is similar to how Popeye is powered up by his spinach.
