Nintendo 3DS
The Nintendo 3DS (Japanese: ニンテンドー3DS) is a video game console produced by Nintendo and the successor to systems from the Nintendo DS family.
It is a portable system with a feature known as stereoscopic 3D that allows the player to see three dimensional images without special equipment such as 3D glasses.
Like systems in the Nintendo DS family, it features two screens with a Touch Screen on the bottom screen.
There have been various games related to Sanrio for this system.
Variations
- Nintendo 3DS XL: A larger version of the Nintendo 3DS with 90% larger screens, known as the Nintendo 3DS LL in Japan.
- Nintendo 2DS: A variation of the Nintendo 3DS without stereoscopic 3D. It abandons the older systems' 'clamshell' design in which the system could be opened and closed. Due to this, the player must use a button to put the system into Sleep Mode rather than through closing the system.
- New Nintendo 3DS: A newer versions of the Nintendo 3DS with increased performance, the addition of an analog-pointing stick on the right side of the console, "ZL" and "ZR" shoulder buttons, improved 3D functionability, support for Micro-SD cards and detachable cover plates. Additionally, the game Xenoblade Chronicles 3D is only compatible with New Nintendo 3DS and New Nintendo 3DS XL systems and a few downloadable games such as the handheld Virtual Console release of Super Mario World were sold exclusively for the New Nintendo 3DS system.
