Silas Brown is the paternal grandfather of Charlie Brown and Sally Brown, according to Bon Voyage, Charlie Brown (And Don't Come Back!!), and the father-in-law of Mr. and Mrs. Brown.
In the past, the comic strip referred to a grandfather figure, but the name Silas Brown was not used in the strip so it is not considered canon.[1]
