TGiF (an acronym for the saying "thank goodness it's Friday" for joy when the weekend is near) is a Sanrio universe, introduced in 1979 as documented in the book Sanrio Design: The '70s & '80s. It features an orange bear like character with a white hat and shirt with text possibly ending with "boy" on it. The bear is also holding what appears to be a skateboard.
