Ziggy is an American third-party universe created by Tom Wilson introduced in 1968. It stars the character of the same name, who often falls into misfortune. Ziggy has a dog known as Fuzz.
In June 1971, the comic strip was launched in 15 newspapers and later over 600 publications.[1] In 1987, the rights were transferred to his son Tom Wilson II.
Ziggy was also one of the comic strips promoted by Sanrio Japan. He appears on the front cover of The Strawberry News No. 164 (January 15, 1982).
