Hello Kitty's Furry Tale Theater is an animated Hello Kitty cartoon series animated by Toei Animation and produced by DIC. The rights are also held by MGM Television (in addition to Sanrio who own the rights to their original characters).
It originally ran from September 19 to December 12, 1987 for the United States, but episodes from the series have also been licensed for the United Kingdom.
The episodes in the series play on various fairy tales (such as Robin Hood, Cinderella) and popular culture (such as The Wonderful Wizard of Oz and Star Wars) acted out in a theater setting.
