Monster Planet of Godzilla, also known as Kaijuu Planet Godzilla (Japanese: 怪獣プラネットゴジラ, sometimes appearing without kanji as かいじゅうプラネットゴジラ) is a short kaijuu film from the Godzilla franchise directed by Kōichi Kawakita and released to a Japan-only audience in 1994. Sanrio are known for screening the film at Sanrio Puroland and Harmonyland[1] between March 18, 1994[2] to July 1, 1998[3] with a tie-in to Hello Kitty.
This film featured some exclusive footage as Hello Kitty as a general. Monster Planet of Godzilla was re-released for the Japan-only Godzilla Final Box, however Hello Kitty footage was removed. Fans speculate this was done for legal/copyright issues or that Hello Kitty's depictions in the film weren't favoured.

- This film was released close after the 1993 introduction of Sanrio and TV Tokyo's kaijuu-inspired Donragon franchise as a segment for Daisuki! Hello Kitty. It is possible kaijuu/monsters was an interest of Sanrio during the early 1990s.
