The crab (Japanese: 蟹, kani) is a minor character in Onegai My Melody. It appears on the beach, and My Melody finds it cute, except it tends to pinch her, causing her to cry.
In Violin Hajiketara Ii Na!, Koto Yumeno's crab backpack also came alive, possessing a heart mark, thanks to My Melody's magic with the Melody Takt.
