Sanrio Wiki has moved from ShoutWiki. Account creation is closed to prevent spam on a company typically seen in the West for its children's media. If you want an account here (or to activate your old ShoutWiki account here) it is suggested (though you have free will) get your parent/guardian's permission to use the Internet, and contact EvieMelody (X, formally Twitter) re: account creation or article requests.

Creatures, Inc.
Creatures, Inc. is a video game company, spun-off from the company Ape (the company established by the famous Shigesato Itoi for his video game MOTHER (EarthBound Beginnings). Ape is effectively now defunct. The foundations of Creatures, Inc. are linked with the origins of the Pokémon franchise but not exclusively.
Its current president is Hirokazu Tanaka (former employee of Nintendo); also a famous video game composer with a speciality for chip-music, though it was formally founded by Tsunekazu Ishihara with the assistance of former Nintendo president Satoru Iwata; and its direction was influenced by Satoshi Tajiri circa 1990 for forming Pokémon from the original Capsule Monsters concept.

- Ape are well-known for the EarthBound (Mother) video game series.
- Like Sanrio, Creatures, Inc. have their own original characters known as the Chaliens; first starring in a video game by them called Chee-Chai Alien, possibly influenced by their 1989/1990 Toto prototype, and a manga called Mi Kakunin Uchuu Seimei-tai GoGo! Chalien.
