Disney
The Walt Disney Company (or Disney for short) is a large mass media multinational conglomerate based in Burbank, United States. It was founded by Walt Elias Disney and Roy Oliver Disney on October 16, 1923.
It is known for its famous Mickey Mouse character and many media franchises such as the 1951 film adaptation of Alice in Wonderland, the the 1991 film adaptation of Beauty and the Beast, and many more.
The Walt Disney Company can also be seen as an American rival to the Japanese-based Sanrio; they both have links with animation (in particular, there were early Sanrio Videos/Sanrio Films, like Ringing Bell, Little Jumbo, The Rose Flower and Joe), as well as amusement parks, books, films, television, music, character creations.
