Twitter is an American social media platform and company founded by Jack Dorsey, Noah Glass, Biz Stone, and Evan Williams. Users can post short character-limited messages known as tweets, such as recent occurrences in their life, news, media (anything that isn't considered spam). The act of posting is known as tweeting. Other users can follow each other (unless the user restricts access) to view their tweets. It is possible to retweet and like a tweet.
It may also be possible to send a user a personal message.
People can make an account and can assign a username under an @ sign, and users can send a tweet to an individual by posting their name in the @. The user can also assign a hash tag (#) to illustrate a theme, and the most popular hash tags are referred to as "trending" hash tags.
There are various official Sanrio Twitter accounts in multiple languages (often English or Japanese), such as @hello kitty (English), @cogimyun sanrio (Japanese) and many others.
