Distinctions
That's fine regarding making a distinction between episodes, discs, items and is actually the way things have been going, so don't worry about it coming across "pedantic". ^^ For example, Kitty to Mimmy no Atarashii Kasa & Unico: Kuroi Kumo to Shiroi Hane (Sanrio Eiga Series/Sanrio Classics DVD) (4901610472217) has a separate article in the interest of the merchandise category. If possible, (but not needed) if the bar code is found it can be added to the title, for people who want to identify Sanrio merchandise with bar codes (potentially at a future date I may look into having a dedicated bar code search functionality for the wiki).
