The Sea Prince and the Fire Child (known in Japan as The Legend of Sirius) is a 1981 franchise by Shintaro Tsuji, the founder of Sanrio. In the United States, it was distributed by Sony.
It is a romance story similar to the concept of Romeo and Juliet. In this film, the gods of fire and water fall in love, however they have to face opposition to remain together.
The Sea Prince and the Fire Child can be considered its own Sanrio universe, although it is dated and discussed less today. It has received both a Sanrio Film and novel.
