The Hello Kitty Game Boy Color: Special Box contains a special pink Hello Kitty themed Game Boy Color, released only in Japan for Christmas 1998.[1] Imagineer is attributed on the box art.

Design

The design of the console itself has Hello Kitty's face on it with a pink flower in her hair. Below it is the text "Hello Kitty" with two flowers, each before and after the text. The box art has more flowers and a pink-checkered design. This checkered design, and/or the specific artwork for Hello Kitty's face is the same motif that Nintendo used for Game Boy Pocket: Sanrio Uranai Party, Pocket Hello Kitty and Hello Kitty Pocket Camera.
