Sanrio Wiki has moved from ShoutWiki. Account creation is closed to prevent spam on a company typically seen in the West for its children's media. If you want an account here (or to activate your old ShoutWiki account here) it is suggested (though you have free will) get your parent/guardian's permission to use the Internet, and contact EvieMelody (X, formally Twitter) re: account creation or article requests.
Note: Sanrio Wiki is not official and is not run by Sanrio Co., Ltd. or related parties. This wiki uses some low resolution content (images, short sound clips) to describe articles, under fair use (for the purpose of illustrating and describing an article only). All rights are reserved by Sanrio and related parties.
Sometimes this wiki may be a little slow, other times it is faster. This is likely server related. On such days, you may want to stockpile edits offline for later.

Kokoro
Kokoro Co., Ltd. (Japanese: 株式会社ココロ), also/formally known as Kokoro Dreams[1] is a subsidiary of Sanrio. Its name is the Japanese word for heart, mind or spirit. It is known for manufacturing animatronics, machines and robots, such as their flagship Dinosaurs and the Hello Kitty Popcorn Machines. They are also known for their 2003 android Actroid. Another more recent example is their robot Peko (Peko-chan), resembling a young girl.
On February 1984, Shintaro Tsuji (former president of Sanrio) also became the president of the company, but since his passing this has changed. Currently, Atsushi Ueda is the president and CEO, after Atsuya Yamada's resignation, but Yamada retains their role as vice president.
Kokoro run a website and Twitter account known as Kokoro-Dreams.
Kokoro also have a series of print media known as Kokoro News. This is a similar concept to Sanrio's own The Strawberry News but for their subsidiary Kokoro and subjects such as the animatronics/robots they have produced or related events.[2] Issues of Kokoro News are also digitally available through the Kokoro website itself in PDF form, as far back as Kokoro News No. 57 (January 2001). Kokoro have continued to publish digital versions of later issues (as of July 9, 2022; the latest digital issue is Kokoro News No. 85 (December 2021)).
