Noval (Japanese: ノバル) is a fictional planet with a tropical climate and breeze. It has been visited by humans from Earth. It is featured in the novel Hoshi no Ugoku Oto, originally published in Sanrio's Lyrica magazine. Gil lives with his nameless father. His father was an architect who worked at Noval, but he unfortunately passed away due to an accident. Both Gil and his nameless mother traveled back to Earth, based on his fathers wishes to be buried back on his birth planet. (「自分の骨は生まれた星に埋めて欲しい」).[1]
